Iliopsoas
Where do I put the pads?
The iliopsoas (ill - leo - so - az) muscle is the primary flexor of your hip joint. It’s made up of three muscles: the iliacus, the psoas major, and the psoas minor. These muscles work together to flex your hip, as well as stabilize your hip and lower-back during activities like walking, running, and rising from a chair.
Common Symptoms
- Lower-back pain
- Pain when rising to stand
- Pain when bending down
Common Causes
- Sleeping in fetal position
- Sitting for long periods of time
- Quad exercises without stretching
Recommended Pads
Triggerpoint
Designed to be a great all-around pad. It works anywhere & it’s easy to use.
Quad
This pad was designed to contour around the leg and the three outer muscles of the quad.
Lower Back
The lower back pad was designed to span across the entire lower back specifically the muscles connected to the lumbar region of the vertebrae.
TFL / Hip Flexor
The hip flexors are made up of many muscles, one of which being the TFL (Tensor Fascia Latte). This muscle helps lift the leg and when too tight or weak, is one of the main contributors of IT band pain in the knee.
