What is muscle stimulation?

Put very simply, TENS, EMS & NMES are all forms of muscle stimulation. Electronic pulses move from the Halo unit, and into the muscles, causing them to contract as if you were exercising. This can promote pain relief & blood flow as well as work out knots by strengthening the muscles.

What is TENS?

TENS is what relieves pain. TENS stands for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation, and it focuses on nerves, and masking pain signals for natural pain relief.

What is EMS/NMES?

EMS stimulates your muscles to expand & contract. EMS stands fo Electrical Muscle Stimulation (or Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation for NMES), and it focuses on muscles, contracting them to increase blood flow to the area, promoting recovery and decreasing soreness.
